All bends make usually an angle of 90° or 180° in plane “E” or in plane “H” and their dimensions can be modified according to the customer’s project and to the technological problems of realization. The following tables carry forward the general characteristics of the product.

The bends are flanked by twists, directional couplers and feeds for parabolic antennas single and dual polarization with diameter from 0.6 m to 3 m.

All Cometel’s products are manufactured in CuZn 90/10 alloy’s waveguide; this material permits us to use these products also outdoor. The feeds, whereas, are realized in electrolytic copper.

The flanges’ braze welding may be hard or soft; it depends on the client’s requirements and specifications.

The components, once realized, undergo a first treatment of polishing and passivity, or silver-plating and then in a second time they can be painted.. The paints usually used are light grey (RAL 7001), white (RAL 9010) or matt black (RAL 9005).

The way of manufacturing used make us obtain a maximum V.S.W.R. value that ranges from 1.06 to 1.15, thanks to the uniformity of the inner section, even when it bends.

The dimensional external tolerances are particularly low, because they depend on the component’s dimensions.

The feeds are manufactured  in rigid waveguide WR75 (R120) for parabolic antennas with a diameter that ranges from 0.6m to 3m. According to the model, these products may be supplied with or without the parabolic antenna’s keeper and, as per the project they may also be supplied with a three tension rod kit.

Depending on the difficulties of realization, it is possible to produce feeds corresponding to the specifications given.

Sometimes it is possible to supply a transition guide to guide from R120 to R140 to satisfy the specifications requested.

Twists are manufactured in rigid waveguide in measure from WR28 (R320) to WR137 (R70) and with the standard length. The flanges used are the following types: UER, UDR, UBR, PDR and PBR and they can be coupled as the customer wishes.

According to the electrical running and to the twists’ problems of realization, the length of the twist may be change from a minimum of 50mm to a maximum of 150mm.

Bends in plane E and H may have a radius of curvature whether standardized or reduced. The bends’ dimensions and the flanges used may be personalized according to the customer’s specifications and to the difficulties of feasibleness of the component.
